As with past trips, I was planning to travel light. Just some clothes and camera gear in a backpack and I’m gold. But once I sit down and start to pack, I realise I’ll need more stuff if I plan to make the most of the places I visit and to capture everything on my to-do list.

It’s a balancing act where bringing certain gear means I also need to bring the peripherals for it too; If I bring the Speedlite, I also need to bring batteries, battery charger, wireless triggers and light meter. If I bring a film camera then I also need the film. But if I leave something behind, will there be a situation where I’m kicking myself for not bringing something? Continue reading →
