Tasmania part 3 – Landscapes, Landscapes everywhere!
Driving through Tasmania we couldn’t help but Ooh! and Aah! at least once or twice every day at the scenery in front of us. To say Tasmania is beautiful is an understatement. The Tasmanian environment is stunning, a real landscape photography paradise. Continue reading

Traveling through Cambodia with a Contax G2 and Black and White Film

I finally bit the bullet and had a go at developing black and white film. Unfortunately my first try resulted in every mistake possible. Thankfully I was able to recover some of the ruined frames and on the whole I am super pleased with the results. I managed to get a Contax G2 Rangefinder camera just a few days before I left for the trip so I was shooting completely blind to the end result but credit to the mighty reputation this camera has – Every frame came out beautifully. Canadian Rockies Roundup. October 2011

We spent a magical week in the Canadian Rockies between Banff and Jasper. It is one of the most beautiful places I’ve been lucky enough to visit. There were so many spectacular mountains and lakes, wild animal sightings and stunning sunsets. The only downside was a lot of the activities had shut for the season a few days before we arrived. Doh! Continue reading
Mount Edith Cavell Trek and Angel Glacier in Jasper National Park, Alberta Canada

Mt Edith Cavell and the Angel Glacier. Thursday 13th October 2011
We left Jasper at 8.30 am and found ourselves winding along a narrow and icy road towards Mount Edith Cavell. As we slowly wound up into the mountains the landscape became whiter and the temperature dropped to 1 degree c. We were the first people to the mountain and the path to the Angel Glacier was covered in a perfect layer of snow. The only signs of activity were some squirrel and Caribou tracks. Continue reading
Our drive from Banff to Jasper Canada in the Fall. October 2011
October 11. My 35th Birthday /sigh

We left Banff at 8.30 and didn’t arrive in Jasper until 4pm. There was so much to see along the way! We first stopped at Lake Louise where it was raining and the wind was cutting right through us. I can only imagine how stunning this place would look on a nice day. Continue reading
Pack Light and Travel Happy By Rick Steves
Check out the full article here: Pack Light and Travel Happy.
How do you fit a whole trip’s worth of luggage into a small suitcase or backpack? Simple: Bring very little. Whether you’re traveling for three weeks or three months, you pack exactly the same.
I must admit, I’ve been guilty of over-packing and on arrival home realise there are items I never even touched. I’m making a conscious effort to pack light on my next trip. Besides, I carry so many electronics/photography items, I need to cut corners somewhere right?
